Kid Reporter Update: Sitting down with Ziauddin Yousafzai, an inside look at Toy Story 4, and more

June was a big month for the Scholastic News Kids Press Corps! Kid Reporters checked in from across the country and around the world to share the news stories that were most important to kids in their communities.

This month, Kid Reporters sat down with the cast of Toy Story 4, and authors Aida Salazar and Daniel Jose Older. They visited St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, the Angor Wat temples in Cambodia, and attended the anniversary celebration the First Lady’s “Be Best” campaign.

Five Kid Reporters also received a unique opportunity to sit down together and interview education activist Ziauddin Yousafzai at the Scholastic headquarters about gender equality, raising his daughter and Nobel Prize winner, Malala Yousafzai, and his memoir, Let Her Fly: A Father’s Journey. Afterwards, the Kid Reporters had the chance to sit on the other side of the recorder and share their experiences about being in the Scholastic News Kids Press Corps with education outlet, The 74.
