It's hard to believe we're entering the 15th week of the 2015 Summer Reading Challenge. It seems like just yesterday we were watching the minute counter pass the one million minute mark, and now we've exceeded 184 million minutes!
Let's take a look at some of the highlights from the past week and the latest top school/state stats.
- Minute Mania Month launched with a bang on Tuesday! Minute-logging functionality was unlocked for all summer readers (and will be until Sept 4th). We’ve already seen a spike in minutes (our total has gone from 172 million minutes to 183 million in less than one week).
- Pam Allyn took over our Twitter account on Thursday to share tips for parents and teachers. She also wrote a fabulous blog post on the concept of “summer reading 365” - don't miss it!
- Story #10 was unlocked this morning on the Summer Reading Challenge website. Read Maggie Stiefvater & Jackson Pearce’s Pip Bartlett and the Glitterbark here. This one is very special because not only did Maggie write it, she illustrated it also.
